Stay On The Quantock Hills
Somerset

The Quantock Hills
Your Holiday Playground
One of the main reasons that Simon and I moved to this area was so that quite literally from our garden gate we had the Quantock Hills to walk our dogs and ride our horses on.
The Quantocks are a designated AONB area and also an SSI.
They are a beautiful stretch of Somerset countryside, with miles of open heathland, ancient woodland, rolling hills and far-reaching views across the Bristol Channel.
The Quantocks are a peaceful haven for walkers, dogs and anyone wanting to escape into nature.

Dog Walking From Your Door
Imagine having all of this, quite literally at the end of our garden - a stay with us means that you and your dogs can have absolutely this!

The Somerset Coast
There is nothing like a going to the seaside to lift the spirits and to allow ones inner child to take control whilst giving the adult you much needed time off.
Why not search for 20 million year old ammonites amongst the rock pools at the local Kilve beach which is just 1.5 miles away.
Build castles in the sand at Blue Anchor or possibly run you and the dogs along the 7 miles stetch of sandy beach at Bream or if you are feeling very wicked, why not stop for a cheeky ice cream or better still fish and chips fresh out of the newspaper while sitting on the sea wall.

Dog Friendly Beaches
Near Our Quantock Cottages
We are very lucky as Somerset has the most dog friendly beaches out of any county.
Our local Kilve beach is just down the road.
The nearest sandy beaches of Blue Anchor & Dunster are just short drive away.

Eating Fresh, Shopping Local & Minimal Fork To Plate Miles Is What Sets This Lovely Area Truly Apart.
From Farm shops, to local bakers to yummy delis, you don't need to venture very far from our Quantock Cottages to be able feast not only your tummies but also your eyes!
Our little local village of Williton, which is just 5 miles away has a Glenmore Bakery and which is a 3rd generational family run business.
Possibly one of the very best butchers in the South West, Somerset Farmhouse, which is a second generational family run business is also in Williton.
And again in Williton you will find the Old Bank Deli, which is just a feast for eyes, tummy and everything else. Be warned you will go in for one thing and will come out with 20 things because everything looks so good!
