Simon & I built and designed our cottages and gardens very much with the needs of reactive dogs firmly in mind. About 80% of our K9 guests are reactive souls and here both they and their "hooman" parents have found peace, tranquillity and a stress free environment.
With tall fencing and established planting each cottage garden is private for dogs
Our woodland enclosed glamping retreat with its tall bark fencing again is private - its also in the middle of a wood
We are in a quiet rural area
There are no large herds of farm animals on our country estate. We have just 2 elderly horses
Our 3 secure dog exercise fields are quiet as they are only for the use of guests staying in our 4 retreats
With 9'000 acres of open heathland at the end of the garden this is a paradise for nervous or reactive dogs as it is a rarity to see anyone else at all.
Even in the height of the summer the local dog friendly beaches are very quiet
We are in a NO firework area
Your dogs can enjoy the freedom of a well fenced garden. Simon & I are dog owners so we understand how important this is.
Our enclosed gardens are designed to give you and your dogs, space, privacy and peace of mind.
Each garden is fenced to 6ft.
Our garden fencing is in the main closeboard backed up with stockfencing and specialist deer mesh.
When your dogs need proper off lead adventures and runs the following are waiting for them:

Each secure dog exercise field including the wood are fenced to 6ft

Just because you are staying in a boutique holiday cottage or a luxury Somerset Woodland glamping retreat doesn't mean you have to miss out on the luxuries of a hotel.

Maybe a chef is a bit fancy, if so have delicious home cooked food delivered to your cottage already to pop in the oven - yum yum!
How about having a glorious in-cottage / in La Caravane, massage and beauty treatments. No need to go to spa, the spa comes to you - what's not to love!
What about an in-cottage physio and cold-lazer session for doggos. Our dogs can highly recommend this.
Each of our cottages has its own private covered hot tub, outdoor space and fire pit – perfect for long evenings beneath the stars.
Each Cottage has its own private outside bar from where the country and coastal views are epic and provide the perfect spot for sun-downers.
Step outside and you're surrounded by one of Somerset's most beautiful landscapes.
The Quantock Hills which are quite literally at the end of your garden offer wonderful walking country, ancient woodland, open heathland and spectacular views.
And the coast is just around 1.5 miles away.
Spend the morning exploring with the dogs, the afternoon beside the sea and the evening soaking in your private hot tub.

A: 3 but more are possible on request. For La Caravane it is strictly limited to 2
How many people do your cottages sleep
A: Each cottage sleeps up to 4 guests + a babe in arms in two bedrooms
How many people does La Caravane luxury dog friendly glamping in the UK sleep?
A: 2 Adults. This accommodation is not suitable for those under 14 years old
Q Are there any Somerset Dog Friendly beaches around
A: Yes. Kilve beach is just 1.5 miles away. The nearest dog friendly sandy beaches are just a short drive.
We are a multi generational party for 8 and 6 dogs which two of your cottages would best suit us
A: Coleridge & Greenway would be our suggestion as although detached they are adjacent to each other and there is a "secret" gate that we can open in the fence line which allows both gardens to run together and allows for easy access to both properties.
Q: We are a party of 12 can we take all 3 of your luxury dog friendly Somerset cottages?
A: Yes of course you can!
Q: Do you have any dog friendly pubs in walking distance?
A: Yes we do. We have two. The highly rated Hood Arms at the bottom of Pardlestone Lane and the Plough Inn at Holford.
