Want a shower or to go to the loo without going outside in the cold? - Yes of course you have it at La Caravane. None of this Bare Grills stuff required at our La Caravane luxury glamping retreat.
With inside and outside cooking facilities and a very good size fridge and freezer - essential for cooling the wines and a 42 inch TV your creature comforts will all be met.

All the doggo guest who have stayed with us at La Caravane have loved having the unique privilege and experience of being able to chose where they sleep - inside our out.
Guess what - they have all chosen to sleep outside in their enclosed woodland garden, surrounded by nature, under the stars whilst their humans have slumbered happily inside.

From the garden, you have direct access to our private 2-acre 6ft fenced woodland dog exercise area. Bliss no need for leads harnesses or muzzles.
For dogs, it's a bit like being handed the keys to their own private country estate!
For owners, it's a rather wonderful feeling to know they can enjoy proper off-lead freedom in a secure
environment.
It's particularly appealing for nervous and reactive dogs who don't always enjoy busy public spaces.
La Caravane is made for couples looking for something a little different. Simon and I were when we bought it and together with our dogs we have had the holidays of a life time and have made so many precious memories of times where the two of us and the loves of our lives - our dogs could really enjoy just being together, hanging out and enjoying proper quality time.
This being said if you are looking for any of the below it is also the perfect escape - we know because we have done it!

Ever dreamt of having your own grassy woodland dell where you can "hang-out" in your hammock whilst listening to the background music provided by the local birdlife whilst you gaze out to sea.
A say at La Caravane means you can have exactly this!
Please note unlike your main Private Enclosed Woodland Glamping Retreat, Dingley Dell is not fenced but if you need them there are ground/tree ties for to tether you woofers to.
When you eventually decide to leave your woodland hideaway, the Quantock Hills are waiting - they are quite literally at the end of your wood.
Walk through ancient woodland.
Explore open countryside.
Head towards the coast.
Visit one (or both!) of the two dog friendly pubs that are within walking distance.
Even luxury caravan-glamping is not for the faint hearted. But worry not think of it as an adventure!
La Caravane is reached via around 1.5 miles of unmade road.
The road is easily navigable, although there are a couple of steep bends and some potholes to negotiate.
You’ll also need to hop out and open two gates — one into our country estate and another into your own private, 6ft-fenced woodland retreat.
Inside, you’ll find hot and cold running water, central heating, an en-suite shower room and loo. You’ll just need to empty the toilet cassette at the designated disposal point. I am a total "pink princess" and even I dont find it too horrid!
La Caravane is a 7.5m touring caravan with a 4.5m awning, an additional 2m dining pod and a 3m outdoor cooking gazebo.
In extreme weather, for your safety we may need to take down the awning or cooking gazebo. No problem though — the TV can can be moved inside and you have your double oven and four ring hob so you won't have to go hungry or get bored!
Although our country estate has three secure dog exercise fields, guests staying at La Caravane only have use of our 2-acre, 6ft-fenced Woodland Scent Zone. This lovely doggie sensory filled playground is accessed direct from La Caravane's garden through a hidden gate in the fence and then down a set of enclosed steps. No leads or harnesses required!

We were the first guests to stay at La Caravane. Not only did the 3 of us feel privileged but we were rather worried to start with as well. We have stayed for many years at the Quantock Cottages and have read and listened to Emma & Simon's accounts of their adventures in La Caravane and when they decided to share their special holiday home and this amazing location we jumped at the chance - and oh my we were not disappointed. It was an experience like no other. Just being able to lie in the hammocks in Dingley Dell looking out to sea and listing to the birds in the trees was simply wonderful. We have already booked to come back in September.!"
